Бесконтрольный завоз пчелиных семей приводит к метизации разводимых пород в нашей стране. Породное испытание пчел предполагает выявление наиболее перспективных пород не только для использования различных источников взятка, но и для ускоренного развития и увеличения численности семей, и конечно опыления сельскохозяйственных культур. Для предотвращения метизации пчелы научные сотрудники периодически проводят мониторинг породного состава и хозяйственно-полезных признаков. Установлено, что скорость роста пчелиной семьи характеризует ее зимостойкость и напрямую влияет на продуктивность. Исходя из этого признака, для селекции следует отбирать пчелиных маток с самой высокой яйценоскостью. Более динамичное откладывание яиц наблюдается у ИП «Демидов» степной зоны в среднем составило 919,6 штук, а у ИП «Гостинин» степной зоны яйценоскость маток меньше на 2 штук. Предгорная и горная зона отстает от степной на 14,6 штук яиц. Продуктивность пчелиных семей так же зависит от количества кочевок на цветущие медоносы. Так, например, при сравнении средней медопродуктивности и воскопродуктивности между стационарным и кочевым содержанием наблюдается изменчивость.
